The Maldives on Monday recorded 13 new cases of COVID-19.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said the new cases include seven Maldivian nationals, five Bangladeshi nationals and one Indonesian citizen. The new cases bring the Maldives' tally to 1916.
HPA also announced 98 recoveries, a significant spike in the number of recoveries. The total number of recoveries is now at 925, and the number of active cases is 981. Eight COVID-19 fatalities have been recorded to date.
Until now, 30,888 samples have been collected for testing. The latest figures publicized by HPA shows 1049 people are in isolation while 428 people are in quarantine.
