The Maldives on Tuesday recorded 29 new cases of COVID-19.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) on Tuesday said the new cases are of 28 foreigners and one local. This brings the total number of infections to 2094. The number of active cases is 414. According to HPA, 331 people are currently in quarantine while 347 people are in isolation.
Maldives also recorded 130 new recoveries on Tuesday, raising the total number of recoveries to 1,670. This is equivalent to 79.75 percent of total infections. The archipelago has recorded 8 COVID-19 related fatalities to date.
