The Maldives on Wednesday recorded 26 new cases of COVID-19.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said the new cases are of 6 locals and 20 foreigners. This brings the total number of cases to 2,120.
HPA also announced 7 new recoveries, bringing the total to 1,677. The percentage of recoveries is at 80 percent.
According to HPA, 281 people are at isolation facilities and 318 people are at quarantine facilities. The archipelago has reported 8 COVID-19 related deaths to date.
