The police have seized drugs that were being transported to three islands.
Maldives Police Services said they seized the drugs being sent to L. Isdhoo after they received reports that the drugs were on a boat traveling to Isdhoo. The drugs being transported to Hoarafushi were discovered in an unclaimed carton on a boat that traveled from Male' to the northern island. No persons were arrested from Isdhoo and Hoarafushi.
A man was arrested in Kurendhoo island in a special operation conducted after the police were tipped off that the man was using drugs and involved in its trade.
