The Maldives on Monday recorded 14 new cases of COVID-19, and 10 recoveries.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), 14 samples out of the 1,276 samples tested came back positive. While 8 are locals, the remainder are foreigners. This brings the total number of positive cases in the archipelago to 2,217.
HPA announced 10 new recoveries, which increases the number of total recoveries to 1,813. The number of active cases is 387.
While 42,830 samples have been tested for COVID-19, 8 fatalities have been recorded to date. 311 individuals are currently in isolation while 140 individuals are at quarantine facilities.
