Latest COVID-19 stats: 22 new cases, 10 recoveries

The Maldives on Wednesday recorded 22 new cases of COVID-19.

According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), the new cases are of 8 Maldivians and 14 foreigners. This brings the total number of positive cases to 2,260.

HPA also announced 10 new recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,839. The number of active cases is 408.

45,185 samples have been tested for COVID-19 thus far. The archipelago has recorded 8 COVID-19 related fatalities to date.

Authorities said 314 individuals are currently at isolation facilities while 139 individuals are at quarantine facilities.
