The Maldives recorded its 11th COVID-19 related death late Thursday.
A 39 year old Indonesian national passed away while receiving treatment at the DH11 COVID-19 facility established at Dharumavantha Hospital. The man is the youngest person to pass away from COVID-19 in the Maldives. Among those who passed away from the illness thus far are four elderly locals, four Bangladeshi nationals and one Filipino.
The Maldives has recorded 2,400 positive cases of COVID-19 to date. Over 83 percent of patients have recovered from the illness.
