Maldives records 64th COVID-19 death

The Maldives registered an additional COVID-19 death on Thursday.

According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), a 78-year-old Maldivian male receiving treatment at main government hospital, Dharumavantha Hospital passed away on Thursday evening.

This is the 64th COVID-19 death in the Maldives.

While over 20,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the Maldives, the number of cases have been surging over the past few weeks. 2664 cases are active at the moment.
