The Maldives on Friday recorded 10 new cases of COVID-19.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), the new cases are of 4 Maldivians and 6 foreigners. The figure includes three IGMH nurses and two ICU patients who were contacts of a positive COVID-19 case. This brings the total number of positive cases to 2,410.
HPA also announced 10 new recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,976. This figure accounts for over 83 percent of total cases in Maldives. The number of active cases is 410.
53,867 samples have been tested for COVID-19 thus far. Authorities said 259 individuals are currently at isolation facilities while 115 individuals are at quarantine facilities.
