The Health Protection Agency (HPA) on Monday announced an additional COVID-19 death.
According to HPA, an 80 years old local male admitted at DH11 facility in Dharumavantha Hospital passed away at 04:35 am. This is the 12th COVID-19 death in the Maldives, and the second death over 48 hours. A 77-year old local woman passed away earlier on Sunday.
The Indian Ocean archipelago has recorded 2,468 COVID-19 cases to date out of which 402 cases are active.
