The Maldives on Tuesday recorded 10 new cases of COVID-19.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), the new cases are of 7 Maldivians and 3 foreigners. This brings the total number of positive cases to 2,501.
HPA also announced 45 new recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,158. The number of active cases is 326, and 12 deaths have been recorded to date.
57,611 samples have been tested for COVID-19 thus far, out of which 695 samples were tested over the past 24 hours. Authorities said 273 individuals are currently at isolation facilities while 107 individuals are at quarantine facilities.
