The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has announced an additional COVID-19 death.
According to HPA, a 70 year old Maldivian female who was taken to state-run IGMH at 01:00 pm on Wednesday was declared deceased on arrival, and was later found to be positive for COVID-19. This is the 13th COVID-19 death in the Maldives, and the 3rd COVID-19 death over the past few days.
The Indian Ocean archipelago has recorded 2,502 COVID-19 cases to date out of which 325 cases are active.
