COVID-19: Tally at 3,252 with 77 new cases

The Maldives on Saturday recorded 77 positive cases of COVID-19.

The Health Protection Agency said the new cases were of 56 locals and 21 foreigners. With the tally now at 3,252, this is the most number of positive cases recorded in one day since the Maldives lifted lockdown measures.

HPA also announced 36 recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,534. The number of active cases is 688, while 15 COVID-19 deaths have been recorded to date.
