The Maldives on Monday recorded 67 positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases in the archipelago to 3,369.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), the new cases are of 43 locals and 22 foreigners. One of the cases is an imported case. HPA confirmed an American tourist who arrived in the Maldives on Sunday was among the positive cases. This is the first imported case recorded since the Maldives reopened its borders earlier this month.
HPA also announced 13 recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,547. While 792 cases are active, 15 COVID-19 deaths have been recorded thus far.
