Latest COVID-19 stats: 152 new cases, one death on Thursday

The Maldives on Thursday recorded 152 new cases of COVID-19.

The Health Protection Agency, HPA said 1,490 samples were tested over the past 24 hours out of which 152 samples came back positive. The new cases are of 89 Maldivians and 63 foreigners. The most number of people tested positive for the virus in one day on Thursday, bringing the total number of cases to 3,719.

The new cases include 10 positive cases from the atolls, with 9 cases linked to Ha. Kelaa.

HPA also recorded 14 recoveries. The recoveries tally is now at 2,568. While one death was also recorded on Thursday, 16 deaths have been recorded until now.
