The Maldives on Monday recorded 129 new cases of COVID-19.
According to the Health Protection Agency, HPA, the new cases are of 93 Maldivians and 36 foreigners. The total number of positive cases is now at 4,293.
While 18 deaths recorded thus far, the number of active cases is currently 1,490. Out of these, 92 individuals are hospitalized.
The Maldives recorded its largest spike in the number of positive cases earlier on Sunday with 215 cases. The numbers have been rapidly increasing since the Maldives lifted lockdown measures.
