COVID-19: Six islands linked to positive cases on monitoring status

Five islands in the south have been placed under Health Protection Agency, HPA’s monitoring status.

HPA said entry and exit to HDh. Makunudhoo, Finey, Nolhivaram and HA. Maarandhoo and Ihavandhoo have been temporarily restricted after positive cases of COVID19 were linked to the islands. The islands will remain on monitoring status until the contact tracing process is completed, said HPA.

Ungoofaaru island in Raa atoll has also been placed on monitoring status. Movement to and from the island was restricted after a patient who was transferred to capital Male’ from Ungoofaaru Hospital on Monday tested positive for COVID-19.
