The Maldives on Thursday recorded 86 new cases of COVID-19.
The Health Protection Agency, HPA said 85 people tested positive from the Greater Male’ Area and that one case was from among the atolls. The new cases are of 56 Maldivians and 30 foreigners. The total number of cases is now 4,680.
HPA also announced 19 new recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,725. 128 patients are currently hospitalized, and 19 deaths have been recorded to date.
The daily number of positive cases remained in three digit figures for the past five days.
