The man who went missing after a boat caught on fire and sank has been discovered dead.
Cargo boat ‘Vindh’ was traveling near L. Gan when the fire broke out. 10 people were aboard the vessel at the time of the incident; nine of whom were foreigners. While nine of the crewman were rescued, search efforts to locate a missing crewman was carried out by the MNDF.
According to Maldives National Defense Force, MNDF, the missing man’s body was recovered from 48 meters underwater on Monday evening.
