The Health Protection Agency, HPA has revealed that 156 COVID-19 patients are currently hospitalised.
Speaking at the Health Emergency Operation Centre, HEOC’s press conference on Thursday night, the centre’s Spokesperson Dr. Nazla Rafeeq said 156 patients are currently admitted, out of which 144 are at the Hulhumale’ Medical Facility, HMF. While 11 patients are hospitalised at Dharumavantha Hospital, an additional patient is at B. Eydhafushi COVID centre, said HPA.
Dr. Nazla said 11 patients are currently receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit; six of whom are at HMF. Two are on ventilator support. Additionally, five patients in Dharumavantha Hospital are also in the ICU.
Five pregnant women with COVID-19 are hospitalised at a special wing in Dharumavantha Hospital.
