The Maldives recorded an additional COVID-19 death early Friday.
According to the Health Protection Agency, HPA, a 61 year old local female admitted at the Hulhumale’ Medical Facility passed away at 01:45 am early Friday. This brings the total number of deaths registered in the Maldives to 22.
Over 150 COVID-19 patients are currently hospitalised and 11 are receiving care in the Intensive Care Unit. The number of positive cases and those in critical condition have been increasing over the past few weeks.
