The Health Protection Agency, HPA announced 78 new cases of COVID-19.
HPA said the new cases recorded over the past 24 hours are of 46 locals and 32 foreigners. All but four cases were identified from epicentre, Greater Male’ Region. This brings the total number of cases registered in the Maldives to 5,572.
The agency also announced 90 new recoveries, with which the total number of recoveries has now reached 3,010. While 22 deaths have been recorded to date, with the most recent death registered over the past 24 hours, the number of active cases is now 2,540.
