An additional COVID-19 death has been recorded in the Maldives,
According to the Health Protection Agency, HPA a 41 year old Maldivian female admitted at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital passed away at 09:34am. This is the 24th COVID-19 death recorded in the Maldives.
The number of positive cases and deaths have been increasing exponentially over the past few weeks. While the Maldives has registered 5,909 cases, the tally is expected to exceed 6,000 over the next 24 hours.
