The Maldives on Wednesday recorded 146 positive cases of COVID-19.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), 144 cases were identified in the epicentre, capital Male’ region while two cases were detected in the atolls. The new cases are of 117 locals and 29 foreigners. The total number of positive cases is now at 6,225.
HPA also announced 140 new recoveries, raising the total number of recoveries to 3,788. While 24 COVID-19 deaths have been recorded to date, 152 patients are currently hospitalised. 2,413 cases are active at the moment.
