Latest COVID-19 stats: 145 new cases, tally at 6,370

The Maldives on Thursday recorded 145 new cases of COVID-19.

The Health Protection Agency, HPA said 142 cases were identified in the Greater Male’ Region while three cases were identified from the atolls.

According to HPA, the new cases are of 123 locals and 12 foreigners. The total number of cases recorded in the Maldives is now at 6,370.

HPA also announced 127 recoveries on Thursday, raising the number of recoveries to 3,915. While 24 deaths have been recorded to date, the number of active cases is 2,431. Out of these, 161 patients are currently hospitalised.
