The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded in the Maldives has reached 26 with two new deaths registered over the past 24 hours.
Early morning on Friday, an 82 year old local admitted at the Hulhumale’ Medical Centre passed away while a second death of a 62 year old Bangladeshi national was recorded on Friday night.
The number of COVID-19 cases have been increasing over the past month with 6,564 cases registered until now. 194 new cases were identified over the past 24 hours.
