Three people completing home quarantine have tested positive for COVID-19.
The Health Protection Agency said a two month old baby tested positive in K. Gulhi while a 36 year old local female tested positive in R. Inguraidhoo. The third case was identified in ADh. Omadhoo where a 58 year old local female tested positive for the infection. This brings the total number of islands with active cases to 20.
The Maldives has been registering three-digit figures as new cases almost every day for the past few weeks. While two deaths were recorded over the past 24 hours, the toll has now risen to 26. Over 6,500 positive cases have been identified until now.
