The number of positive cases in the Maldives are on the rise, with a record amount of cases registered over the past few weeks. While the current number of hospitalisations is the highest recorded local COVID-19 hospitalisations recorded until now, most are being treated at the Hulhumale’ Medical Facilty. Patients in critical condition are treated at the DH11 facility in Dharumavantha Hospital. 11 patients are currently in the ICU.
The Maldives has recorded 7,329 positive cases and 28 deaths. Authorities have warned of stricter measures if the numbers decline to fall.
