The Maldives on Thursday recorded 141 new cases of COVID-19.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), the new cases are of 98 locals and 43 foreigners. While 137 cases were reported in the Greater Male’ Area, the remaining four cases were registered in the atolls. Maldives’ tally is now at 8,281.
HPA also announced 145 new recoveries over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries to 5,483. While 2,763 cases are currently active, 157 patients are receiving treatment at hospitals. 29 deaths have been recorded to date.
