The Maldives on Saturday registered 125 positive cases of COVID-19.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said 106 cases were identified in the Greater Male’ Region while the remaining 19 cases were recorded from the atolls. While the new cases are of 112 locals and 13 foreigners, the total number of positive cases is now at 8,486.
HPA also announced 180 recoveries over the past 24 hours, increasing the total number of recoveries to 5,822. While 2,629 cases are active, 168 patients have been hospitalised. 29 deaths have been recorded to date.
