Manadhoo under monitoring after COVID-19 case identified from island

Manadhoo island of Noonu atoll has been placed under the Health Protection Agency (HPA)’s monitoring status after a positive case of COVID-19 was identified in the island.

According to HPA, a person completing home quarantine in Manadhoo tested positive for the virus, and entry and exit from the island has therefore been restricted. Contact tracing process is currently ongoing.

On Friday, positive cases were identified from several other islands in addition to Manadhoo. They include Thaa Veymandhoo, Lh. Naifaru, R. Dhuvaafaru, Ha. Kelaa, Ha. Dhidhdhoo and Ga. Hoadedhdhoo.
