The Maldives on Sunday recorded 121 cases of COVID-19. The numbers increased to three digit figures after hovering below 100 for the six previous days.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said 102 cases were identified in the Greater Male’ Region while the remaining 19 cases were identified from among the atolls. The new cases are of 75 locals and 46 foreigners, raising the tally to 9,173.
HPA also announced 171 recoveries on Sunday, increasing the total number of recovered cases to 7,326. While 1,809 cases are active, 113 people are currently hospitalised. 32 deaths have been recorded to date, with the most recent death announced on Sunday.
