The Maldives on Monday recorded 70 positive cases of COVID-19.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said 65 cases were identified in the Greater Male’ Region while the remaining 5 cases were identified from among the atolls. The new cases are of 48 locals and 22 foreigners, raising the tally to 9,243.
HPA also announced 210 recoveries on Sunday, increasing the total number of recovered cases to 7,536. While 1,669 cases are active, 105 people are currently hospitalised. 33 deaths have been recorded to date, with the most recent death recorded on Monday afternoon.
