Daily COVID-19 stats: 99 new cases, 174 recoveries

The Maldives on Wednesday recorded 99 cases of COVID-19.

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said 1,640 COVID-19 tests were conducted over the past 24 hours, out of which 99 tests came back positive. 92 cases were identified in the Greater Male’ Region while seven cases were recorded in the atolls. The figure includes 65 locals and 34 foreigners. The total number of cases identified in the Maldives is now at 9,328.

HPA also announced 174 recoveries on Wednesday, raising the total number of recoveries to 7,903. While 33 deaths have been recorded to date, the number of active cases is 1,485. Out of these, 115 people are currently admitted at medical facilities.
