The Maldives on Friday recorded 74 cases of COVID-19.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said 1,322 COVID-19 tests were carried out until 6pm Friday, out of which 74 tests came back positive. 70 cases were identified in the Greater Male’ Region while four cases were recorded in the atolls. The figure includes 37 locals and 37 foreigners. The total number of cases identified in the Maldives has surpassed the 9,500-mark and now tallies at 9,568.
HPA also announced 44 recoveries on Friday, raising the total number of recoveries to 8,077. While 33 deaths have been recorded to date, the number of active cases is 1,452. Out of these, 106 people are currently admitted at medical facilities.
