The Maldives on Wednesday recorded 67 cases of COVID-19.
The Health Protection Agency said 1,098 samples were tested in the 24 hours leading up to 6pm on Wednesday. 33 cases are of locals while the remaining 34 cases are of foreigners. All but two cases were identified in the Greater Male Region. The total number of cases identified in the Maldives is now at 9,885.
HPA also announced 92 recoveries on Wednesday, increasing the total number of recoveries to 8,530. While 34 deaths have been recorded to date, 1,315 cases are currently active across Maldives, including 42 cases in the atolls.
