The Maldives on Saturday registered 67 new cases of COVID-19.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said 1,555 samples were tested in the 24 hours leading up to 6:00 pm of Saturday, out of which 67 samples tested positive for COVID-19. 41 cases were identified in the capital Male’ region and 26 cases were identified from the atolls. The new cases are of 58 locals and nine foreigners. The total number of cases recorded in the Maldives is now at 10,465.
HPA also announced 97 recoveries on Saturday, increasing the total number of recoveries to 9,310. While 1,114 cases are currently active across Maldives, 34 deaths have been recorded to date. Cases are active in 22 islands and 20 resorts across Maldives.
