The Maldives on Saturday recorded an additional COVID-19 death.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), a 67 year old local male admitted at the Hulhumale’ Medical Facility passed away at 7:00am on Saturday morning. This is the 36th COVID-19 death recorded in the Maldives.
The Maldives has recorded 11,154 COVID-19 deaths to date. After a spike in the number of positive cases and deaths earlier in July, the numbers have since declined. Cases are currently active across 20 islands and 10 resorts.
