The Maldives recorded a COVID-19 death on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), an 8-year old local male admitted at the Hulhumale’ Medical Facility passed away at 03:50 pm on Sunday. This is the 37th COVID-19 death in the Maldives, and the scond death in two days.
The total number of COVID-19 cases recorded in the Maldives is now at 11,210. While over 90 percent of the infected people have recovered from the illness, the number of active cases is 1,002.
