The Maldives on Friday recorded 27 positive cases of COVID-19.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said 1,776 samples were tested on Saturday, out of which 27 samples came back positive.
According to HPA, 18 cases were identified in the Greater Male' Region and nine cases were identified in the atolls. Out of these, 18 are locals and nine are foreigners. The total number of positive cases recorded to date is now at 11,643.
While 820 cases are currently active across 20 islands and 26 resorts, 37 deaths have been recorded to date.
