Daily stats: Tally at 11,737 with 36 new cases

The Maldives on Monday recorded 36 positive cases of COVID-19.

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said 1,318 samples were tested on Monday, out of which 36 samples came back positive.

According to HPA, 31 cases were identified in the Greater Male' Region and five cases were identified in the atolls. Out of these, 21 are locals and 13 are foreigners. The total number of positive cases recorded to date is now at 11,737.

While 776 cases are currently active across 13 islands and 31 resorts, 38 deaths have been recorded to date. 56 patients are currently hospitalised while two are being treated in the ICU.
