The Maldives on Saturday recorded 30 positive cases of COVID-19.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said 1,281 samples were tested on Saturday, out of which 30 samples came back positive.
According to HPA, 15 cases were identified in the Greater Male' Region and the remaining 15 cases were identified in the atolls. Out of these, 15 are locals and the rest are foreigners. The total number of positive cases recorded to date is now at 11,962.
While 850 cases are currently active across 15 islands and 28 resorts, 39 deaths have been recorded to date, with the most recent death registered on Friday afternoon. 50 patients are currently hospitalised while two are being treated in the ICU.
