A group of men impersonating police officers robbed a local guesthouse in capital Male’ on Wednesday.
Maldives Police Service said three men claiming to be police intelligence officers entered a local inn, ‘Fariva Stay’ located on Male’s main road, and tied up the three staff on duty using cable clips. They then stole some objects on the premise before making their escape.
The police said the investigation of the case is underway, but did not confirm if any arrests have been made in connection to the case. No further information was revealed.
