A COVID-19 death was registered in Maldives on Saturday, raising the toll to 42.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), a local male aged 57 passed away on Saturday afternoon at the Hulhumale’ Medical Facility. The man was being treated at the Intensive Care Unit of the facility prior to his death.
The Maldives’ COVID-19 tally is currently at 12,154. While 843 cases are currently active across seven islands and 26 resorts, 11,262 recoveries have been recorded to date. 49 patients are currently hospitalised.
