The Maldives recorded 50 positive cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said out of the 1,477 tests conducted during the period, 21 positive cases were identified in the Greater Male’ Region. 29 cases were registered in the atolls. Out of these, 19 are locals while 31 are foreigners.
The Maldives has recorded 11,292 recoveries and 43 deaths until now. The most recent death occured earlier on Sunday morning, where a 79 year old local male admitted at Hulhumale Medical Facility passed away. 865 cases are active across 10 islands and 26 resorts, and 47 people are currently hospitalized
