Daily stats: 41 new cases, tally at 12,355

The Maldives recorded 41 positive cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hour, raising the country’s tally to 12,355.

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said out of the 1,075 tests conducted during the period, 35 positive cases were identified in the Greater Male’ Region. The remaining six cases were registered in the atolls. 30 cases are of locals, while 11 are foreigners.

The Maldives has recorded 11,388 recoveries and 45 deaths until now, with two deaths recorded over the past 24 hours. 915 cases are active across nine islands and 28 resorts, and 63 people are currently hospitalized.
