Daily stats: 29 new cases, tally at 12,384

The Maldives recorded 29 positive cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hour, raising the country’s tally to 12,384.

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said out of the 1,365 tests conducted during the period, 25 positive cases were identified in the Greater Male’ Region. The remaining four cases were registered in the atolls. 19 cases are of locals, while 10 are foreigners.

The Maldives has recorded 11,406 recoveries and 45 deaths until now. 926 cases are active across 15 islands and 29 resorts, and 72 people are currently hospitalized.
