The Maldives recorded 68 positive cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hour, raising the country’s tally to 12,452.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said out of the 1,530 tests conducted during the period, 36 positive cases were identified in the Greater Male’ Region. The remaining 32 were registered in the atolls. 36 cases are of locals, while 32 are foreigners.
The Maldives has recorded 11,475 recoveries and 45 deaths until now. 925 cases are active across 15 islands and 29 resorts, and 73 people are currently hospitalized.
