COVID stats: 32 new cases over past 24 hours

The Maldives recorded 32 positive cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours. The country’s tally is now at 12,578.

The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said out of the 1,561 tests conducted during the period, 19 positive cases were identified in the Greater Male’ Region. The remaining 13 were registered in the atolls. 17 cases are of locals, while 15 are foreigners.

The Maldives has recorded 11,559 recoveries and 45 deaths until now. 967 cases are active across 15 islands and 30 resorts, and 82 people are currently hospitalized.
