The Maldives recorded 30 positive cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours. The country’s tally is now at 12,608.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said out of the 1,763 tests conducted during the period, 27 positive cases were identified in the Greater Male’ Region. The remaining three cases were registered in the atolls. 22 cases are of locals, while eight cases are foreigners.
The Maldives has recorded 11,599 recoveries and 46 deaths until now, with the most recent death recorded over the past 24 hours. 956 cases are active across 12 islands and 30 resorts, and 86 people are currently hospitalized.
